Relaxed At 21 Weeks

J & I had the best day, the day before he left. The moment we stepped outside the warm air instantly blanketed us and we didn't waste anytime to pack our beach bag and walk down the road to the ocean. We didn't have to walk to far to find a perfect patch of sand for us to park our bums on. I loved cuddling J and my puppies ALL DAY LONG. <3

Playing fetch

Beautiful eagle soaring past

He was patiently waiting for his beer to cool. There should be a little patch of snow all year round for this reason :p

Finally, COLD!

I am now 21 weeks, and in a couple of days I will be 22 weeks. Time is truly flying by!! I am still loving being pregnant and still loving my ridiculous ever changing body, it's soooo funny to me. I am getting some stretch marks on my hips which I knew was inevitable as I have the thinnest skin ever. I am using Bio-Oil religiously but am well prepared for many more stretch marks. However, I am sick of these spider veins take over my entire bod.

I am also loving feeling this babe move around more and more everyday. Baby loves to dance the most at lunch time. I can also feel a lot of movement at night when I am watching tv but that's probably because I am relaxed and sitting still.

This stage of pregnancy is probably the best because I am not huge but am visibly pregnant and I have the energy to do everything I did before.

Got my winter glow on :p

I love Lily posing!

Best way to spend the day. Note- we can never keep our blanket sand-free bc of our crazy dogs

Disguise

I am soooo happy J is back for a couple of weeks for way too many reasons. I will name just a few...

- I love him and love spending time with him
- He keeps me warm at night. That sounds totally cheezy and ridic  but seriously. Our upstairs is so cold at night and that extra body heat does wonders.
- I don't have to shovel.
- He lets out the dogs every morning while I stay cozy in bed.
- I don't have to cook every night. Cooking for one tends to get boring.
- He is a clean freak. So my house is always spotless when he's home :)
- We have so much fun together and I get to laugh with someone other than just at my self. He is also a big clutz so it's funny to watch him fall and run into things all day. I'm sick like that.
- He gets to come to the ultra sound tomorrow!! He hasn't heard the babies heartbeat yet so this will be extra special.
- I get to smooch him everyday
- When the fire alarm spontaneously likes to go off in the middle of the night, I won't be the only one running around in a frenzy.
- He takes out the trash

Yep, I am one lucky lady!!!

This rant stemmed from the other night when I was alone. Maple's leash got stuck around our outdoor fireplace. She kept barking and barking at something in the woods. So I went out to go and get her but was scared out of my mind when I too hear the rustling in the bushes. I was thinking either Moose or Coyotes. But the more worked up Maple got, the more the upset the animal in the bush got. Keep in mind it's pitch black out as I live in the woods. The animal that I can't see starts grunting like a bull, so I know this is a moose. I must go on a mission and run to my dog and quickly untangle her and run back to the house with her in tow, pregnant, with snow up to my knees. Ohhhhhh the life and times of hill billy Jenna :p The mission was a success. The moose only bluff charged us and Maple and I came out of it bruise/death free. Winning!!

When I got up in the morning to let the dogs out the silly moose was sleeping in our backyard. I snapped some pictures and her looks are deceiving. This animal was disguised as a beautiful angelic creature in the daylight but turns demonic at night, I swear.

Look at that dirty look!!

Here comes the bride

How cute was J's guest post? I thought it was very sweet :)

The moment I walked out to see my groom and all of the people we hold dear to our hearts, I don't think I have ever let out such a dramatic exhale. It honestly was the greatest moment of my life to date (so cliche, but so true). At that moment while holding on to my daddy's arm I have never felt so much love. You just feel so unbelievably grateful and so loved, its such an amazing feeling. I saw my handsome groom first, and then I looked around at a sea of smiling , overjoyed faces. I will never forget that moment. My faces show exactly how excited I was.

Of course I love to see the bride walk down the isle, but I always stare at the groom at weddings. Glad there was a picture of J's expression <3

I had just said "Hi Jon"

So excited!!

<3

haha overwhelmed.

I had so many special moments throughout the day, but I thought it was important to not only snuggle my dad before I said my vows but to snuggle my dear Gramps. Ugh I love them!

In love

J and I just keep falling more and more in love with this place. Sometimes we just have those moments where we are like "wow, we live in this beautiful province together." Yesterday it was absolutely gorgeous out and we were not taking it for granted. I just love those evenings where everything just feels right. I'll share a little piece of it with you.

Shower time

The first day back in Manitoba was spent with my mom. We went shopping for a social dress but we only had an hour to do so because we had a spa appointment we could not miss! I wasn't successful in the dress department which had me a little stressed as my social was the next eve. The hour long full body massage at Hypnotic helped me forget about a little of that stress followed by a manicure/pedicure. So lovely! After my mom and I were feeling refreshed and relaxed we went to go and pick up my grandma Shirley for my Shower night!!!!!

I was so anxious for my shower. I have attended many showers in my day and never thought I would have my very own. I never really dreamed of getting married so this seemed very weird to me. The shower was being held at our family friends place which is absolutely stunning. They really went above and beyond. They totally cleared out their living room and replaced furniture with round tables with white linens beautifully decorated with "beachy" centerpieces. I had no clue who was going to be there either so when I walked into the room, classy Jenna says " I want to barf" I was so overwhelmed by all of the people I love in that beautifully decorated room that, that's all that would come out. I didn't actually vomit of course. I sat down and didn't really look at anyone. Me being the dramatic person I am had to sit down and ease my nerves for a minute. I turned around and saw my beautiful cousin Rhianna who I hadn't seen since she departed on her fabulous Italian adventure as an Au Pair. I hugged her as if it had been years rather then 7 months. I got a little choked up and then I turned around and my best friend Katelyn is standing right there!!!! Kate totally surprised me. I figured this sneaky little kitten would absolutely not be able to make it out to my shower and social as she is right in the midst of exams and is studying in Edmonton. I nearly bumped into her at the airport the night before. We got in at the same time and luckily I didn't see her but she was walking right in between J and I. She even had to put on her hood. Anyhow, wow, was I so shocked and happy to see her. I didn't know what to do when I saw her so I walked out of the room crying without even saying a thing haha. Geez I have weird reactions.

I'm not a pretty crier
After me being an emotional wreck the night had to go on. I went around the room and hugged every beautiful woman there. I was just feeling so blessed to have such people in my life. Meanwhile my bridesmaids never sat down they were working there bums off!!
Kate, Heidi, Sue, and Jaye

Jaye made this gorgeous and delicious cookies

Couldn't ask for better friends

I then was spoiled with way too many gifts!! Fancy napkin holders, cloth napkins, espresso machine, tea pot, salt and pepper shakers, coffee, and a dining room table.

Everyone contributed in purchasing all of these gifts for J and I, and I just was feeling so many emotions that I of course broke down.
I was then supposed to compose myself and say a little thank you speech. I thought I was ready, and of course, I broke down again.

I stood up there so proudly with a smile and then looked around at all of these people that love and care for J and I and I couldn't get a word out. I slumped down and cried and cried and cried. I think the only thing I got out was "I'm so lucky" and "Thank You". I guess I am not good at these things.

Thank you Sue and Dave for giving us your home for the night and creating Jentinis. Sue your placed looked immaculate, the decorations were fab :p. Thank You to my bridal party for all of your time, hard work, and love. This wouldn't have happened without you all there. Oh and thanks for the best surprise ever Kate! Thanks to Rhianna, Miya, Aunty Houde, Grandma, and of course mom for helping out with everything. You guys are truly the best. And to all of you who attended and contributed, we love you all and are really lucky and so grateful to have each and everyone of you in our lives. <3
