Rob & Leah's Wedding

The reason we went to Puerto Morelo's was to celebrate Rob & Leah's love. They both looked absolutely gorgeous and Leah's dress couldn't have been more perfect for her. Oh and their vows were perfection, totally sincere and heartfelt. I love it when people right their own vows.

We had the best day & night with such a wicked crew!

Yay! Chelsea made it to the ceremony!

I love creeping on the family during the ceremony. So happy and proud

After some great speeches and a delicious gourmet dinner the craziness began...

We danced alllll niiiight lonnnnng!!!

Our First Wedding Anniversary!

This past week has been one of the most fun and relaxing weeks we have had in awhile! J & I celebrated our first anniversary on Monday at the spot we got married at a whole year ago. Where the heck has time gone?! We had the best day reminiscing about the year and that special day on Sept.3rd 2011. The Keltic Lodge offers you a free night and dinner on your one year anniversary so we definitely took advantage of that. We had an amazing dinner, we started off with scallops, which were to die for. J got the prime rib which was exceptional and I got the feature salmon, I don't even know what it was marinated in but it was darn tooting goooood! We were totally full but obviously had to get dessert. We ordered coconut cream pie and a baked Alaska... yummmaaayy! I was pretty pumped to drink a couple dirty vodka martinis and devour more then a couple of glasses of vino. Needless to say I was feeling pretty good watching Robby Maclean sing some of our favourite tunes in The Sitting Room. After we had our fill of tunes and booze we got to have a  (drumroll please) full nights sleep. Well not so full for me because even though we didn't have the baby the babies food woke me up a couple of times. Damn leaky boobies. But still, close to a full nights sleep was absolutely heavenly. I woke up J bright and early to go and stuff our faces eat at the breakfast buffet. As much as I enjoyed our romantic night away I could not stop thinking of our sweet Willow. Even though I knew she was in good hands (my parents) and only called home 3 times, I couldn't wait to get back to her and kiss those sweet cheeks! A huge thank you to my fabulous parents for letting us "get away" for a full night. Willow told me she had so much fun :p

Who knew J & I would be parents to the most amazing little girl before our first anniversary?! I believe our precious Willow has only brought J & I closer. I am so lucky to have the perfect husband and father for my babe. Ahhhh life is good.  Anywho, J treated me to a day at the spa today and Willow treated us with 4.5 hours straight of uninterrupted sleep last night. Needless to say I am feeling pretty spoiled & relaxed!

Special Moments

With all of this exciting talk of pregnancy, I didn't finish off my wedding posts!! There isn't many left but I left out one of my fave parts. The dances!!

My cousin Rhianna Rae Saj sang Simple As it Should Be by Tristan Prettyman. She modified a couple of the lyrics to fit J & I better. It was perfect. I have always LOVED this song. Jon and my relationship is totally as simple as it should be. Well we seem to surround ourselves with chaos, we are always busy with something but our love is simple. We are bestfriends and we get to spend forever together. Lucky us.

And then there was the Father/Daughter dance. My dad didn't pick a song for us so I played every slow song on my ipod and could not, for the life of me, find one that was fitting. I went on youtube and by fluke found Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman. I thought it was perfect for my daddy and I, but I also knew we are both sensitive messes and this could be dangerous. I was right, we were blubbering messes. As was my brother as you will note in the background.

Iced

When my photographer asked us what kind of wedding I was planning I quickly responded with "An outdoor wedding, with stunning views. I want it to be romantic, charming, fun, and to be a total gongshow." I got exactly what I wanted. This is exactly what it was.

I had talked about being Iced here, but here are the shots our photographer captured during the dinner.

Clink!

I don't love the "clinking of the glass" for a kiss, wedding tradition. When I was little I thought it was so hilarious and fun. But now that I am a very WISE adult, I think it's tacky and gets annoying real quick. We knew if we didn't come up with a kissing game the glasses would start clinking the moment we sat down at the head table as husband and wife. We totally called it, before the MC had a chance to explain "the kiss" the clinking had filled the room. Doug quickly starightened everything out. You must kiss a disgustingly fishy tasting lobster and then take a shot of Screech. I though people were going to totally shy away from that idea, but J & I ended up kissing every five minutes. My lips were actually getting sore from all of our smooching. I absolutely loved these pictures captured by the photographer.

J thought he would mix it up and get our parents to kiss. However, they made it even more twisted it by doing a group kiss. Soooo funny.
