Great Grandpas Birthday & Fathers Day

The family and I headed out to Saskatoon last weekend to celebrate Jon's Grandpa's 87th Birthday and Father's Day.

Willows Great Grandpa Henry lives in a beautiful retirement home. Fully equipped with a games room and a fabulously warm pool. The pool was so warm Willow was so relaxed in there, she looked like a zombie for most of the time she was in.

We had a fabulous visit and celebration for Great Grandpa Henry's Birthday! So nice that many family members were able to make it!

A big thank you to Denis & Julie for letting us take over their home for the weekend! And thank you Jesse and Anna for being such a big help with Willow. xoxo

Mac Mother's Day

ohh boy oh boy did I ever have an extra special mothers day! We started the day off with a beautiful brunch with the whole fam. I am so lucky to have such fabulous mothers ( Grandma S was missed) in my life and was happy we got to celebrate with them. I felt extra lucky to be able to call myself a mother this year to such a sweet little babe. Ooooh she is precious.

After we filled our bellies we hung out at mom & dads soaking up the sun and quenching our thirst with some adult beverages and playing toss the Willow. She is definitely not deprived of attention EVER.

We then were revved up to go to the FLEETWOOD MAC concert!!!

And let me tell you they did NOT disappoint. Lindsey Buckingham is a beast on the guitar. He had me shaking my head in awe during a guitar solo and he totally brought me to tears. I have a creepy school girl crush on Mick Fleetwood. During the entire concert I kept thinking about how I want to wear "witchy clothes" just like Stevie Nicks and do bad ass poses all around town. I think she should retire her heels though as the poor gal was hobbling around the stage. And John McVie is such a cool cat in the background, such a legend.

I hope all my fellow mothers had a lovely day!! xoxo

Happy New Year!!

As you get older don't you find New Year's Eve to be a tad over rated? Yes, sure I love getting all dolled up once in awhile. Yes, I love to have an excuse to drink to much champagne. Yes, I love the vibe at a huge party when the clock strikes 12. But I also love spending time with my loved ones rather than a bunch of strangers. This year we surprised J's parents at their house and had a mellow night chilling in the basement while sipping on some vino. I am shocked Willow made it past 12:00 because she was up allll night long the night before. When I say all night I mean she slept maybe, just maybe an hour. She has never had a night like that... ever. To be fair to poor Willow it was all my fault. We are just starting her on cereal and I fed her way too much so she probably had a sore tummy. Whoops.

I hope you all had fun bringing in the New Year! XOXOX

p.s HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!

Hibernation

After Christmas we laid low and just "hung out" with the family. This really has been our life for the past few months and I like it. It's time spent with the family which makes me happy we moved back to Manitoba. There was a lot of cuddles and warming up by the fire.

Nothing sweeter

J promised me he would buy me a horse when we moved to Manitoba. I still haven't received my horse, good thing I can get my fix around the neighbourhood

As we were adoring my horse friends and my deer friends popped up to say hello

Yep, she is for real

Ugh I LOVE THEM

Princess Willow and her sweet Nana

Willow and her Grandpa. My camera was still frosty from our walk

Come back and visit us soon, family!! xoxox
