Shop till you drop

 I have been on a huge dress shopping kick as of late and it's been fabulous! I received 3 parcels in the last 3 days and they have all been new dresses :) It's so fun becoming more and more of a girly girl. J doesn't like it too much but that's ok! My mom tried so hard in the younger years, dressing me until I was in grade seven haha thanks mom. I was always so well put together and my childhood friends can still remember some of my stellar outfits :p As I approached the teen years I rebelled. My dads hoodies became a staple in my wardrobe, and my hair was never done.

I am not a fashionista by any means but I now am embracing being a woman. I love finding clothes that work for my body and make me feel good. Unfortunately, there is not many chances I get to show off my fabulous new purchases but they sure do make my closet look pretty.

I had told J that we need to have one night a week where we dress up for one another and have a nice dinner. So I would be able to wear some of my new clothes then!!! When he gets home from work we put on our rubber boots and sweats and go walking and then we come home and change into our pj's. Ok that's it, we are starting that tonight. Date night in our house!!!
(Everything around here is closed for the winter, and if things were open we would look mighty silly all decked out)

A fave! There are going to be many lovey music posts coming up as our social is in a month and our wedding is in six!! I would love to incorporate this song in the mix somehow. It get me every time.

It's a simple life but an amazing one

J went back to work on Tuesday!!! I am not even a little sad about it either. I am someone who values my alone time. It seems whenever J is home I get instantly lazy and just want to laze on the couch with him. He was home for four weeks and it seems that's all we did. Now that he's gone during the day, I get to have my kitchen dance parties, cook, bake, and clean!! As weird as this may sound to those who know me these have become my fave things to do and of course play with my pups outside.

As nauseating as this may come off, the best part of my day is when J comes home from work. Maple, Lily and I stop whatever we are doing and bolt to the door to greet him. J can never tell who is the most excited one as we are all so eager give him a warm hello with big sloppy kisses. :p

After we all calm down :p, J get's the harnesses on the pups while I get my outdoor gear on and off we go to our beach. We get to talk about our days and laugh while we watch our goofy puppies play.

Bikini ready

All winter long us Canadians get to hibernate all winter. Yes, I realize most of you work and/or are very busy mothers so you don't REALLY get to hibernate. But, you eat more comfort food to get you through those cold winter days and nights. The beautiful thing about that is we get to wear big cozy clothes, and scarves to forget about all those extra pounds we have consumed over the long winter months. Really it's a win/win. But every year Spring creeps up on us and we are wishing we were able to shed those pounds just as fast as we have shed all of those layers.We are also forced to face all of that extra fur that seems to be getting thicker as the years pass. :s A couple of years ago I didn't understand why women needed to wax there bikini line, I now know all to well.

I have been checking out my fave suits at Victoria's Secret and found a couple must haves. I am going to order a couple now to give me more incentive of having that bikini bod I have always wanted. Yes I say the same thing every year and at the beach I am always making sure I am sitting properly to ensure a few extra rolls are hidden.

We enjoyed a fabulous +10 day on the beach today!!! Maple has only been with our family for 3 days but she has adjusted so well. Lily and Maple are just the cutest together.

And to top the day off one of my dresses I ordered came in today :)
