I went a little nuts taking pics of my babes, but seriously how could I not. That place and my family... I am one lucky lady!

Hornby Island
We decided to cruise across the island and head to another teeny island called Hornby. I was there 10 years ago and I fell in love with the place and could not wait to show Jon. On that side of the island it is much warmer than our side. It was only 24c/25c and we were sweating our bums off. Like some serious sweaty disgusting messes. We hit up the beach, played in the sea and relaxed....so good.

24 Weeks Pregnant
Size: Baby boy is the size of an ear of corn. I am as big as a cow. Seriously, this baby seems way bigger than baby Willow. Maybe it's because I am all stretched out still from my first but me oh my am I feeling like a tank these days.
Symptoms: I don't have as many broken blood vessels as last time. They are mostly on my chest this time.
My boobs are large, no they are ginormous! They just keep getting bigger with my belly. I can't imagine what they will be like when the milk comes in, oh Lordy.
My ankles are sore this time. I think I need to retire my sandals and trade them in for a good supportive shoe since I am on my feet all day.
Movement: this guy is a little busy body. I don't know if he ever stops moving. Does this mean I am going to have a wild little guy? He is so strong and I can see his kicks and punches already.
Stretch Marks: no newbies
Mood: I am feeling good these days. Have an off day every now and again, but who doesn't
It felt soooo good to be at the lake on a gorgeous day and at one my new most favourite places. Sproat lake is so clear and warm, and it feels extra fabulous to feel weightless in it!
Well folks here is what dreams are made of.... A super hot babe in a bikini 🙈

21 Weeks (gender reveal)
So blogging hasn't been fun for me lately because our internet is awfully slow and I just end up getting mad when it takes me a half hour to upload one photo. I also haven't figured out how to manage my photos on my MacBook. I end up getting frustrated and locking it up in the closet for a month at a time. I am waitng for my patience to come back and it's just not showing any signs of returning as of late. Anywho, let's get to the good stuff!!!
It's been two whole weeks since we found out the gender of our babe. We went in for our ultra sound so anxious to find out the sex of our second babe and our poker faced technician wouldn't give us any hints at all. She said we would have to talk to our doc and see if she would tell us. I knew my doctor would tell us because she was so excited we were going to find out this round. She left her first a surprise and the second babe she found out too! So we just enjoyed watching our babe bounce around. The baby was so very active, doing some high kicks, using both hands to try to feel out its surroundings. It was sooooo great. Poor little Willow wasn't too sure what was going on though. And that morning when I told her she would get to see our baby she said " noooo mommies baby nooooooo!!". Hahaha she will be the best big sister when the time comes though, I know it!
As soon as we left the appointment I called my doctors office and wouldn't you know it, my doc was out of town until the next week. I tried not to sound disappointed on the phone but the receptionist assured me she would get the doctor to call me as soon as possible. I figured I gueesssss I could wait another weekend. Well I didn't have to because they called the very next day! Yipeeeee!!!
We were on our favourite beach playing with all of the velella velellas that have washed up on shore when we heard the news. Jon and I were smiling ear to ear! So excited to have a little guy to join our clan.

17.5 Weeks
Oh yeah Oh yeah, I am getting my energy back. I feel as I am not as boring with my summer program kiddies as I have been the last few months. My competitive self is still dominating in tag.
Size: The babe is the size of a turnip. It must be a genetically modified turnip bc I am feeling huge. I can still fit into my regular clothes and for that I am grateful. I know I will be very huge in no time.
Movement: I can feel this babe move every once in awhile. I almost forgot how strange and exciting such a feeling is.
Gender: We are going to find out what we are having this time. The shock of Willow being a little girl was too much for me. I was so convinced that I was having a boy that when she came out I was in denial. Obviously I was soooo happy to have a sweet baby girl just totally blindsided. Unfortunately I have to wait three more weeks as we will be in Manitoba during the time I can go for my u.s. The anticipation is kiiiiillling me!

Mood: Not a terrible B. I think I am more my happy self. Just way more emotional than I normally am. On the weekend a humming bird stopped and stared at me for a good while and was right in my face and I bawled my eyes out. I have been crying about it ever since hahaha it was just so beautiful! (I may or may not lose my patience with Jon more often than not, so I guess I may be still a horrible B, shoot)
Cravings: no cravings to report of

15 Weeks
Ooh it feels weird to be doing a pregnancy post again! The picture below is from a couple of weeks ago so I guess I was a couple of days shy of 15 weeks. I just started feeling better last week. This pregnancy has been totally opposite from my last, like night and day. With Willow I didn't feel too hot in my first trimester but this babe put me through the ringer. Barf, exhaustion, dizziness, terrible skin, crazy mood swings, and feeling absolutely frumpy. I have been a joy to be around I'm sure :o The one positive thing with this pregnancy is how at ease I have been. I haven't had any bleeding this time around which has left me feeling elated. No panicky tp checks every time I pee!
Symptoms: exhaustion
Cravings: chocolate. For the first while chocolate turned me off but I am now back on it like a fiend.
Mood: a cranky biotch
Weight: I am not even going to focus on weight this time. I hadn't lost all of my weight from my first pregnancy so I am starting at a weight I am not totally stoked about. Just trying to eat healthy and the kids from work keep me active all day long. And let's not forget I come home to a very busy toddler. So I am living a pretty active lifestyle at the moment. I am thankfully not in Mat pants just yet :p
Other: I was able to hear the babes heartbeat at 9 weeks and see it via ultrasound at 10 weeks. It made things so much more real so early on! We are so excited and grateful for this second babe!!
I haven't met my midwives yet but I secured a spot with them, woohoo! For now I am seeing my local doc:) I will do an up to date post tomorrow!

Hello, I am Back!
Hey Blog & Blog Friends! Remember me? Probably not, because I win for being the worst blogger of the year. Truth is, life is busy. This whole working mom thing is exhausting and I don't even work full time. When I get Willow to bed at night I am ready to veg and be a fatty face on the couch while watching every terrible reality show known to man. On the weekends I want to just hang with my family at the beach. This is life these days. I am also in the process of growing my second babe which is tough work! My pregnancy with Willow was all lollipops and ice-cream, this preg is barf & exhaustion. But I am so so so so soooooo grateful and excited for this second pregnancy, so I try not to complain too much.
I thought the good old bloggy blog was in need of a Willow update. Because let's be honest, I don't like to talk about much else. (Yes, I am still one of those boring annoying moms)
Willow at almost 23 Months (almost two, holy poopsicle)
- She loves loves LOVES books and reads them all day long. When she is in her room I love to listen to her read stories to herself. The books always sound the same "mom-mom and diddy, diddy, diddy, mom-mom" in the most sweetest high pitched enthusiastic voice.
- Willow is trying extra hard to talk and is learning new words everyday. She is nowhere near stringing a full sentence together in english but she is an old pro in Willow language. Her fave kind of Englishy words which we hear daily are Diddy (daddy), Mom-Mom, Puh puh (Maple), Eee-EEE (Lily), Bit-Bit (Timbit), Peas (please), Dank ew (thank you), uh you (love you), BinkYYYYY, Ducky, eeeeel (eagle), Bo (boat), Pish (Gold Fish) elp (help) up
- She is extremely affectionate. She is a great snuggler and smoocher
- walking is overrated, she runs everywhere

- She is extremely affectionate. She is a great snuggler and smoocher
- walking is overrated, she runs everywhere
- still loves music and dancing
- She absolutely despises anything on her legs. Getting her to wear pants is a HUGE struggle. I only let her wear her gowns on the weekend and she is obviously happiest then. If she isn't wearing a dress she wants to be bare nudie.
- Still a great eater, she will eat just straight up spinach for a snack. I hope this holds up... forever
-Pink Pink Pink everything must be pink
- The kid loves water and is happiest at the beach. As soon as she sees the ocean she squeals with delight and runs in no matter how cold it is outside.
- Our little Willow is stubborn as hell. Temper tantrums are more frequent.
-Lip chap is this girls best friend.
- She goes to bed so well and will sometimes run to her crib on her own when she is ready for bed
- She isn't a huge toy fan just yet. She likes to put her little people princesses in a little jeep and take them for cruises. And she loves her new Mermaid. But put this kid outside and she is happiest playing with pinecones, rocks, sand, slugs, ants, dirt, crabs & flowers.
- She is wearing size 4 & 5 shoes. 18-24 month and 2t clothes.
- She is still in diapers. Some days she is great on the potty and other days not so much. She will usually tell us when she has to do a poop.
- As soon as she wakes up she has to put on her tiara.
Willow is such a happy funny little girl. She makes us smile all day long. Her enthusiasm is contagious. When I look at her my heart honestly bursts, I just love her so much!!!
Sorry for the photo overload, they are all similar but I love them all!
