Getting Felt Up At A Sushi Restaurant

Yesterday, J & I went to eat at our my favourite place in the whole wide world right now!!! Sushi has been my number one craving besides fruit and chocolate. I guess living so far away from restaurants makes it that much more special when I do get to devour my fave food.

When we walked in the server told us there would be a bit of a wait as they needed to prepare more rice and her hubby had to go pick up the kids. That was no problem for us as we have all the time in the world. So J & I had just received our app when a little girl from two tables over came up to us. She was totally fixated on something on my shirt (or so I thought) she then proceeds to start rubbing my boobs. LoL soooo random. So I am looking at the server waiting for her to say something as I thought it was her kid and she says "uhhhm (name of kid) don't think you should ask her her name first?" hahah I was looking for a little more like stop doing that! So I said ok that's enough please stop, while killing myself laughing at the situation. Her aunties finally noticed what she was doing after a few minutes of vigorous boob rubbing and called her over. They asked her what she was doing and she replied "Rubbing Jennas boobs". Omg I could have died. I kept on saying to J did that seriously just happen??! So we finally get our food and this boob obsessed 6 year old comes back to the table for another rub. Than she notices my belly and starts asking me about it. How does the baby eat? Is the baby eating now? You could have a boy in there? I thought that part was pretty cute but than she lifts up my shirt in the restaurant. So I quickly put it down and than she starts rubbing my boobs again. I obviously didn't want to be forceful with the little one but I kept pushing her hands away lol. At one point I looked over at J and he had the most awkward look on his face, which makes me die laughing just thinking about it. Finally her aunties call her back over and they apologized and were thankful I was so easy going.

Finally the family was on their way out the door when the girl made a quick pit stop for a final rub down. The grandma grabbed her arm and made he apologize to me and than they were gone.

Seriously, I am cursed with having weird/random things happen to me. If I didn't have proof or witnesses I swear people would think I was a psychotic weirdo liar. lol!! Maybe I should write a book, I could easily fill a couple hundred pages. I would call it "The Weird Shit That Happens To Me" very clever I know

P.S Going to a friends place to have a sushi making party tonight. Yummmm

Disguise

I am soooo happy J is back for a couple of weeks for way too many reasons. I will name just a few...

- I love him and love spending time with him
- He keeps me warm at night. That sounds totally cheezy and ridic  but seriously. Our upstairs is so cold at night and that extra body heat does wonders.
- I don't have to shovel.
- He lets out the dogs every morning while I stay cozy in bed.
- I don't have to cook every night. Cooking for one tends to get boring.
- He is a clean freak. So my house is always spotless when he's home :)
- We have so much fun together and I get to laugh with someone other than just at my self. He is also a big clutz so it's funny to watch him fall and run into things all day. I'm sick like that.
- He gets to come to the ultra sound tomorrow!! He hasn't heard the babies heartbeat yet so this will be extra special.
- I get to smooch him everyday
- When the fire alarm spontaneously likes to go off in the middle of the night, I won't be the only one running around in a frenzy.
- He takes out the trash

Yep, I am one lucky lady!!!

This rant stemmed from the other night when I was alone. Maple's leash got stuck around our outdoor fireplace. She kept barking and barking at something in the woods. So I went out to go and get her but was scared out of my mind when I too hear the rustling in the bushes. I was thinking either Moose or Coyotes. But the more worked up Maple got, the more the upset the animal in the bush got. Keep in mind it's pitch black out as I live in the woods. The animal that I can't see starts grunting like a bull, so I know this is a moose. I must go on a mission and run to my dog and quickly untangle her and run back to the house with her in tow, pregnant, with snow up to my knees. Ohhhhhh the life and times of hill billy Jenna :p The mission was a success. The moose only bluff charged us and Maple and I came out of it bruise/death free. Winning!!

When I got up in the morning to let the dogs out the silly moose was sleeping in our backyard. I snapped some pictures and her looks are deceiving. This animal was disguised as a beautiful angelic creature in the daylight but turns demonic at night, I swear.

Look at that dirty look!!

Newlywed, Nearlydead?

Ok this title is very a little dramatic but I feel totally and udderly exhausted. Not exhausted from all of the amazing festivities that went on last week, but exhausted from the bomb J dropped on me yesterday. Sometimes it totally blows being an adult and having to make real life decisions.

Let me fill you in,
Their are transfers open pretty much across Canada for J's position. So of course excitedly he applied for amazing places like Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise and........ Riding Mountain. He applied for the experience of applying and of course the curiousity of what would be offered to him. There was no thought in my mind we would actually consider moving to any of these places just yet as we only moved to Cape Breton last year. Keep in mind we bought a house and are not even completely moved in just yet. We are still exploring the island and continuously meeting new friends. I feel like we just moved in last month. Well, under the table, the Riding Mountain position has been given to him. Not officially as the letter won't be coming for another few weeks. We will have ten days once we recieve the letter to make the final decision. I don't want to be making life changing decisions right now. I want to be in the starry eyed, romantic newlywed phase with my husband where we are sharing caesars, frolicking on the beach hand in hand, feeding eachother chiaaaps. NOT fighting over where we want to live, waaaaahhhhhhhh.

It's totally funny how the prairie girl is so desperately wanting to be a maritmer and the maritimer can't wait to get back to the prairies. Of course I am absolutely in love with all of our friends and family but I really can't stand Manitoba winters. They are totally depressing! I can handle them if I am in a city where I can lose hours in a book store, meet a girlfriend for a perfectly steamed latte, drag my hiney to a gym, but living up there we will be just as isolated as we are here. I absolutely loved my first winter here, it was so mild with lots of snow. I wake up every morning feeling happy and relaxed. The beauty of the area takes my breathe away with every blink. We have made great friends who we adore! I especially love all of my moose friends and seal pups :p.  Now for J's argument... money. I can't work full time here as their is no source of employment for me in the winter. He gets laid off for 2-3months here, where Riding Mountain would be full time. Brandon is only an hour away from his parents and brother which will be amazing when we eventually have kids. So yes, his argument wins. I just wish this offer was five years from now. I am not ready to leave here. Last night J was just mopng around and the air just felt tense, I don't like this. He would totally be game to stay if all of our friends and family moved here! I know it's just not money for him, I totally think he got a little homesick having everyone we love here. I know I should just suck it up and be happy wherever I am with my love.  UGGGHHHHH screw you life decisions.

Ok tomorrow will be a happy wedding post, I promise :)

Rant

I am so annoyed with the company that made my invitations Grimes Designs. I will not be using them again. She was great at getting back to me and my invitations are sweet, but it took forever to recieve them. I ordered my them at the end of May, thinking tht would give me plenty of time to get them out for July. However, I did not recieve them until last week. The RSVP on them is Aug.1rst so most people only have a couple of days to reply. Thankfully I sent out save the dates, otherwise I would be SO MAD.  I had sent her a message at the beginning of July poilitely asking if my invitations were shipped and she said yes, however paypal the next day sent me a message saying my invitations had just been shipped. I guess she forgot about them, ugh accidents happen, but they are sooooo annoying.

My cake lady cancelled on me.

Two of my bridesmaids can't make it to the wedding, but a new fabulous one was added!!!

I had my first fitting today :D Holy smokes I love my dress. I can't wait for our wedding so I can dance, laugh, love, cry, kiss, sing, mingle, and hug. All of this stress will be worth it.

AWKWARD DATES part 3
I don't know if anyone has been on a creepier date than this one...
This date happened around 7 or 8 years ago and it is something I will NEVER forget, unfortunately. He is quite a few years older then I, and we never had officially met. I had only seen him once at a party and wasn't attracted to him one single bit. I was hearing he wwas talking about me to friends quite a bit and was quite flattered. One day he called me and asked if I wanted to go on a date. I thought I would give it a shot and if anything I would have a new friend. He comes to the door and the first words that come out of his mouth were crude and I knew this was a bad idea instantly. Instead of the normal, "You look very nice" I got a "FUuuuuUUUUUCK You're SEXY." Who says that? I replied with a shocked "Thank You?" As soon as we get into his truck he asks me if he minds if we stop off at the liquor store first. "Uhm sure." I am thinking we are going to go have a casual picnic or something but nope, he starts downing the six pack he just bought. After chugging 2 beers while driving, he tells me I make him to nervous. So I quicky tell him to go to the first restaurant we see. It's a very busy place, and their will be know intimate conversations too be had. As soon as we sit down he orders shots for himself and proceeds to get wasted. At this point I am absolutely dreading agreiing to go on a date with this guy. He starts saying the filthiest things I have ever heard anyone say in my life, and he is talking so loud. I knew the guys at the next table and was soooo incredibly embarrassed to be out in public with this guy. During dinner I learn he has a DUI and he has a suspension from work as he is a truck driver. I am absolutely disgusted and tell him I am driving him home right now. He then says "awww baby, I knew you could't wait to come home with me" Soooooooooooooo creepy!!! At this point I am no longer polite. I grab his keys and tell him to stop talking and get in the truck and to not say another peep. On the way home he was doing and saying the most obscene things and finally passed out. I pushed him out of the truck when we eventually hit his town and wished him luck finding his way home. The next day I had to drop off the truck, he has the nerve to answer the door in his boxers and invite me in for breakfast. After puking in my mouth I tell him he is a joke and never want to hear from him again. I later heard he was bragging to his friends about our date. Whaaaaat?! Some guys just don't get it!

AWKWARD DATES Part 2
For the record I am not attracted to the beef cakes that Jersey Shore expels...ew! I totally dislike egotistical jerks. This date was before Jersey Shores time. I guess it goes without saying, agreeing to go out on a date while you are a wee tipsy is not the smartest thing you can do. After an amazing night of dancing at Oktoberfest with this cute guy I slipped him my number. He called me the next day and we went out the following night. He was still as cute as I remembered but our conversation at dinner was painful. I am pretty decent at holding a conversation with anyone, but man it was difficult with this guy. I thought it was kind of cute because he just seemed pretty shy and nervous. I didn't realize it until we were on the way home he wasn't being bashful looking down the entire night he was in fact checking himself out. The entire ride home he was flexing the arm that he had on the steering wheel and making the grunting sounds some make while working out. I asked him if he was going to be ok and he replied with a "When you work out as hard as I do you have to flex often to keep the muscles ripping" Uhhhm what? He then went on to ask me if I wanted to make out, I obviously replied with a polite "No Thanks". He then pulls over and proceeds to take off his shirt. I quickly ask what he is doing and he responds with a " I always get the girl when I take off my shirt" HAHA and he was totally for real. I just laughed at him and told him to dream on and drive me home. When we arrived at my house I thanked him for dinner and told him that would be our last date. AWKWARD!!!

Older man

Don't you just love those butterflies waltzing around your tummy when something really exciting is about to happen? I just love to hate them. I am easily excitable so I get these feelings often. Nothing gets them going more then going on a date! First dates especially. Once in awhile you get those butterflies dancing and they are wasted. You get alll excited for nothing. They are wasted on a really bad date. :( All of your expectations crush them. Here is Part 1 of AWKWARD DATES

My first most awkward date ever was when my Grandparents took my brother and I to Celebrations Dinner Theatre. I knew I was going to be called up on stage because every single time I have went the actors always drag me up. Maybe they can sense my dire need of being the center of attention :p. Anyhow, one of the servers kept circling our table. He was dressed as a flamnenco dancer and was telling all of the guests and my grandparents that he was going to marry me. I thought it was all part of the act until he took me back stage and asked me on a date. I thought he was still in character and laughed at him. He brought me on stage and professed his undying love for me in a hilarious song. When we went back stage he told me he was serious about the date I blushed and agreed to go out with this red lipstick, tight pant wearing man.

A couple of days had passed and my flamenco dancer gave me call and we made plans to go to the movie that weekend. He drove the 45 minute drive to come pick me up my parents house and off we were to go to a movie- Pirates Of The Carribbean. Which I had already seen but was to shy to say so. PS I think movies are the worst idea for a first date because how can you get to know eachother staring awkwardly at the big screen, trying not to chew too loud at all of the quiet parts all the while wondering what the other person thinks of you and if their is a connection. POINTLESS. Luckily the next movie wasn't playing for a couple of hours. So we decided to go out for a bite to eat. Perfect! We get to chat more before sitting a couple of hours in silence. But, crap! He chose a pub and I'm only 17. Looking at him I knew he was a couple of years older I just didn't know how much older. We order some drinks and I pray they don't ask me for I.D. After some good conversation I casually mention that I'm leeeeeegally not allowed to be in there. He immediately starts to sweat, I ask  him his age first and he says he is 25 years old and is a highschool teacher. So I tell him my age and he flips "Why would your mother let me take you out, I could be your teacher! You are too young to date" Woops I guess we should have went over that before you picked me up? I proceed to tell him if he is uncomfortable he can take me back home. He declines and says we can continue on as friends. haha ok? So we get over the awkward part and end up sharing lots of laughs, that's until we go to the movie. I was wishing for awkward silence and quiet chews, but apparently movie theatres excite him? He starts blowing in my ear... ew, trying to feed me chocolates, kissing me on my hands and cheeks, telling me how gorgeous he thinks I am and all of this lovely stuff. After the longest movie ever he drives me back to my parents. On the way back he tells me how interested he is in me and he will call me when I'm 18, I quickly responded with a don't bother :) Awkward

Bad Eggs

As "THE BIG DAY" nears, (55 days!) I find myself reflecting more then usual on my cRaZY past. Its funny how they say nothing really changes when you get married, but I look at it as a time to start fresh. Start that next chapter in life and forget all of the silly worries you had in that previous chapter. If you folks don't mind, my blog posts for the next while are going to be reminiscent of the past, so very random. So I am going to be flipping through those pages and preparing to close those chapters and move on to the next!! Well most of the Chapters are closed but I thought it would be fun to put them in writing.

So let's start with, I am so so so happy that I got the date the asshole phase out of my system while I was young and not be messing around with those types later in life. I would say living in Hawaii helped me get that out of my system. I was given the chance to date 3 "bad eggs" :p. Tell me, why is it that some us women love to date the bad asses. I suppose the we love games and theirs no better game to be played then "try to tame the bad guy". These guys weren't mean or abusive they just played the game well and drove me crazy!!! Attention all bad asses, you will finish last! Smart women will never settle for one of you, it's only just a game. So grow out of it.

I creepily you tubed my friends from the past and found some clips of them haha it felt really strange!

Kauai
This fine young lad was my families bell boy in Kauai. He asked me to go for ice cream after my family and I got back for dinner and I excitedly said yes. I learned he was going to be moving to Oahu in the next couple of weeks, close to where I was living. He wouldn't tell me where, which I thought was weird but didn't think much else of it. We talked on the phone every night until he moved to Oahu. He would always get me to meet him in the school parking lot and we would go for walks from their (which was strange). I thought he just didn't want me to meet his friends yet... fine. Turns out he lived in the Volcom house with all of my fave surfers, he too was a professional surfer but didn't want me to know. CUTE! I could tell that he liked me but something was off. I guess he also liked a lot of other girls as I would hear stuff from his friends. This made me like him more.. ughhhh so dumb. We later ended things because after him ditching me 5 times I found out one night we had plans he had other plans... A maxim party at the house. Soooo that was the end of that.

Maui
We met when I was on vacation with my gf Katie. He walked past us the first day we got their and it was instant chemistry. I told her we needed to see him again. He ended up at the same restaurant that night and he came up and talked to us. We started seeing eachother. He came to Oahu to visit me, I went to Maui to visit him. He thought I liked one if his friends so he started ignoring me, which drove me nuts and making me like him more. After him being so hot and cold and even one night kicking me out of his place. I had to move on.

Oahu
I met him at a party. I loved how the surfer/skateboarder guys wore those knee high socks. Totally dorky for anyone else but they could pull it off like no other. He would say the sweetest things to me EVER, but then I would hear that he would tell his friends I meant nothing to him and blah blah blah. He was also so rude towards my friends and even his friends but so wonderful to me. Uhhmm writing this down makes me embarrassed ha! We totally just played each other and it was really fun. I do know that he has a soft spot inside him and he puts on such an act. I ended up moving back to Manitoba without saying goodbye and haven't heard from him since. Hope your well!

I did get to hang out with so many amazing people in Hawaii. I cherish all of the memories we made. I will erase the guys above but never ever forget all of my Hawaiian Ohana xoxoxoxoxox

If Brian sees this he will be mad I didn't mention him!!!
Brian was the very first guy I dated in Hawaii and the sweetest! He moved back to Connecticut and I stayedin Hawaii. The long distance thing wasn't working for us so we called it off. We still remain friends to this day :) xoxo

The gerbils are running at full speed

My wedding is in THREE MONTHS!!!! Wow, does time ever fly by. I am all of the sudden feeling overwhelmed with all that needs to be done. What the heck was I doing all winter besides blogging? sheeesh. Thankfully, mom and grandma are to the rescue. They are coming out in a couple of weeks to help me with centerpieces, which I am soooo thankful for. Here is where my head is at....

Stan

This past weekend marked the two year anniversary I met schmeagle and his puppet master Stan. I promise you only the weirdest things happen to me. I have about 50 stories that can prove this! Here is one of them.

Every year Winnipeg has this magnificent weekend set out to try different kinds of wines. They like to call it the Winnipeg Wine Festival, the proceeds help Special Olympics Manitoba... which you all know I hold close to my heart. It's just an all around beautiful thing really. I don't have all that much wine knowledge per se, but I sure do like to drink it!

My two girlfriends and I were so pumped to attend the 2009 wine fest. We got all dolled up and couldn't wait to sample as many wines as we humanly could. Who actually spits wine out, really? Not us, that's for sure. After visiting 10 booths, we are starting to feel good. The wine connoisseurs didn't make any sense to us as we can't smell any nuts, or oak, or taste any smoke. It just tastes like "sweet berry wine"! We developed these hoity toity accents and just giggled like school girls the whole time. Embarrassing, but fun! Needless to say we were more then a little buzzed. Thankfully the booths started to close down and we decided the bar would be the next best thing. My one girlfriend had a birthday party to attend too so she called a cab and off she went. As Amanda and I were waiting outside the convention center for her boyfriend to pick us up, I ran into a coworker and his cousin. We were outside chatting away and they decided it was a good idea to join us in our next adventure. This man comes up and interrupts us asking if we needed a lift. He was by himself and was dressed quite sharply. We all thought he was affiliated with the wine fest. Amanda called her boyfriend back and said we didn't need a ride as this lovely man was offering us a free ride in his limo. Sweet! So off the four of us went following the limo driver Stan. After walking blocks and blocks in downtown Winnipeg I started to get that gut feeling that something is not right. We should have asked for his card. If he has a limo why didn't he offer to pick us up from the front? Ah well we love free limos!! One of us asked Stan how much further we had to walk and where was this limo, he replied with "just up here". A block later we approach this s.u.v, hmmmmm. "Umm Stan, where is the limo"? Stan, "Oh, this is my limo, this is it!" We all awkwardly get in, which is soooo ridiculously stupid!!! Amanda rapidly starts texting her boyfriend to come and meet us. While she is doing that Stan pulls out his buddy Schmeagle. Who looks a lot like this....
Stan stays "Schmeagle really wanted to meet you" with sock puppet on hand. Schmeagle said a few hi's and we started hysterically laughing. Is this guy for real? Yes, yes he was. Amanda and I bolt out the car ( we should have never been in) and rudely ditch my coworker as there is not enough room in her boyfriends car. Those guys didn't even get out, they caught a ride with Stan and Schmeagle. After we arrive at the bar we see my friends shortly after. I quickly asked if they lost Stan and they said he couldn't get in. We all start laughing and couldn't believe that had just happened. All of the sudden Stan shows up... he got in VIP. He spots us and whispers screams in my ear "Schmeagle misses you". I had to capture footage of the infamous Stan to put a picture to his face when I told this ridiculous story.

EW!!!
We hid from him for the rest of the night after these pictures. We even switched bars. Needless to say nothing will ever top the randomness of Wine Fest 2009. Well I do have a story from when I lived in Hawaii but we will save that for another day.

R & R

Wow am I ever feeling good!!! My house is clean, the sun is shining, my skin is so soft, and I am feeling so revitalized. The only problem is I haven't seen a soul since Sunday. haha I am going to the post office this afternoon just so I can see at least one person. So, perhaps insanity is well on it's way and this is just the calm before the storm. :p

Every night I have been taking long relaxing baths just like I promised myself. They truly work wonders for making you feel so so so good.
I have some sappy music going on, candles, Russell Brand, ocean salt, dirty vodka martini, blackberry bomb, pineapple face mask, and shea cashmere body lotion for after. A total random mix of some of my faves. But last night there was a special guest appearance, yep, you guessed it!!!!
HEIDI!!!!  She hopped in the bath and we had a good chat and a bathe for a couple of hours over the phone. It was fabulous to have company. Lily and Mapes are great but they don't speak proper english yet.

Doggy Fashion

I have been so consumed thinking about what I am going to be wearing for all of my fun wedding events I didn't even think about my poor dogthers!!! How selfish of me?

Check out Rover Dog on Etsy. Oh my gosh is there ever some cute finds. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever think of dressing up a dog.... that is until I got one. It's my fix until I have human babies to dress up. J is going to kill me if he reads this. hahaha!! Sorry love.

I need to get these 2 outfits!! I think clothes look even more ridiculous on bigger dogs then little ones, so I think Mapes will just have to just wear a pretty bow. But Lilitth, oh she needs these!

Pathetic? yes! But soooo cute!!!

Since both of my pups are beach babes I probably should get them matching bathing suits. Or is that over doing it? haha

Future

Sooo this could very well be J and I in the future except the roles are reversed. I am Isaiah Zagar and J is the wife....
