Dear Sawyer (3 Months)

Dear Sawyer,

You got your first shots this past month and boy oh boy were you ever sad about it. You started screaming when the Nurse and Willow rubbed alcohol on your leg. You slept for two days straight after that traumatic experience!

- you weigh 17lbs and are wearing 6-12 month clothes. No one believes me when I tell them you are only 3 months. You are in the 97th percentile for length, 90th for weight, and 50th for head circumference. Poor little peanut head!

- you are so so sensitive.  Your dad & I got in a heated discussion about hiking trails and you lost your marbles. We weren't even yelling, you could feel the tension and you didn't like it one bit.

- you are so smiley. I can't look down and smile at you when you are nursing because then you won't eat and just smile up at me instead.

- you are very ticklish, I can get some good laughs out of you when I tickle you under your armpits or your neck.

- you think the dogs and your big sis are hilarious. They are always are making you laugh

- you win for being the most chill baby (except to loud sounds, tension & needles). You are always so content and happy

- you love being held and cuddled

- you are hooked on the dreaded binky. You also love your little lamb stuffy but we don't have a name for him yet. You love having your lamb right up against your face when you sleep. You are identical to your sis!

-  your coos are ridiculously adorable

-you can now reach for your toys and show interest in them. Everything goes straight into the mouth

- you are trying so hard to sit up on your own

STOP GROWING!!

Dear Sawyer (2 Months)

Dear Sawyer,

You went on a tropical February vacay to Manitoba. You were an absolute champ on the flight, not one peep. We went to go and celebrate your Nana's 50th Birthday and your Great-Grandpas 80th. It was so fun to introduce you to everyone but it was flipping freezing!! 

- you weigh 16lbs, such a big boy!

- you wear 3-6 & 6 month clothes

- you are the smiliest little babe, your smiles totally melt me.

- generally you are awake from 9 until noon and then nap all afternoon. Then you are awake in the evening until around 10:30. You wake up a couple of times in the night to feed but go right back down. 

- you started cooing and get really into your stories 

- you are a bashful, sweet little thing. Daddy will smile and look at you and you will smile and hide yourself in mamas arms.

- you don't spit up/violently puke that much anymore, which is nice!

- witching hour is finished, phewff

- you did your first giggle 

- you are super strong, your grip is deadly

- you are the most sensitive little guy. You cry at loud noises all of the time. It doesn't last long but you get really upset and make the saddest face in the world.

- you are not a sound sleeper and wake up from any little sound or Movement.

- I may be a wee bit biased but you are the sweetest and easiest baby, ever!

- you are still sharing a bed with us

Dear Sawyer (One Month)

 Dear Sawyer,

You are one month old!! It honestly seems as though you have been around forever.

- You are the biggest cuddler. I think I may have something to do with this because the moment you were born I haven't put you down. I know how fast this phase goes so I am soaking up every second with you. If I try to put you down to get anything done you cry hysterically

- At night you sleep for a couple of hours in your bassinet and then you realize you are not being snuggled and you lose it. You are currently sleeping in between daddy & I for most of the night. You are a much better sleeper than your big sis already, thank you!

- You look just like your big sister

- You are such a chill babe (as long as you are being held)

- you have met both sets of grandparents 

- You are wearing 3month & 3-6month clothes and are almost in size 2 diapers

- You weigh 12lbs 2ozs

- You just started to give us real smiles!! As soon as we make eye contact, the most heart melting smile spreads across your face

- You have have been on many beach walks and hiking trails in your short life

- You are very strong and have had strong head control for a long time. People always comment on how strong you are

- You spit up all of the time, we are always covered in sour milk

- You have already had your first cold and it was so sad

- when your sis is having one of her regular meltdowns as of late you make the saddest face and start to cry too
